Olivers Lodge, Saffron Walden runs an after school club that collects from all the schools in Saffron Walden including County High School, Debden School, RA Butler, St Thomas More and Great Chesterford.  

 

The Children from St Thomas More and RA Butler schools are walked down to our club at St Mary's Primary School wearing high visibility jackets, this walking bus fits in with the OFSTED Healthy Lifestyles agenda 

 

The staff on the walking bus work closely with the road safety team at 

Uttlesford District Council to ensure the children are safe at all 

times.  

 

We open at 3pm and close at 6pm. When the children arrive they can help themselves to juice or water and a biscuit. 

 

Then it is off to play, the children play anything from football, table tennis, pool, table football, role-play, arts and crafts, dolls, lego, board games, ICT or play outside on our pirate ship and in our adventure playground and much much more. At about 5:00pm the children have their hot food, which is cooked fresh everyday and fits in with the governments Healthy eating agenda
